St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 24, 2016 – On Wednesday, Oct. 26 Washington University in St. Louis volleyball will hold a Staff and Faculty Appreciation night in conjunction with the fight against breast cancer during its match against Greenville College at 7 p.m. in the Field House of the Athletic Complex.
"As a volleyball program, we would like to thank the faculty and staff of WashU while digging for a cure," said head coach Vanessa Walby. "Our students are able to balance their passion for academics and the sport they love because of the university's faculty and staff."
The Bears will don pink warm-up gear and uniforms to show their support for breast cancer awareness month. WashU has an 18-9 record on the season and was most recently ranked No. 17 in the country in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 rankings.
The Bears have two remaining matches at home prior to hosting the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship in November. The Bears will first host Westminster (Mo.)
