St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 2, 2019 – The No. 6-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team wrapped up non-conference play with a 5-0 win over Millikin University Wednesday at Francis Olympic Field in St. Louis.
Senior Taylor Cohen scored three goals and added an assist in the win. Cohen is now tied for third all-time at WashU in goals (42) and fifth in points (110).
WashU, winners of seven-straight contests, improved to 9-1-1, while Millikin dropped to 2-5-1.
Sophomore Erin Flynn scored in the 15th minute on a cross from Cohen to put WashU up 1-0. Cohen scored a pair of goals in a 52-second span late in the first half to give WashU the 3-0 lead.

Cohen added a tally in the 87th minute, and then freshman Sydney Essler scored 60 seconds later on a breakaway to round out the scoring.
WashU outshot Millikin 26-1 and had a 6-0 advantage on corner kicks.
WashU opens University Athletic Association (UAA) play at home against No. 18 University of Rochester (7-1) on Sunday at 11 a.m. The Yellowjackets are riding a six-game win streak.
