Pat Smith enters her 19th season as the football administrative assistant at Washington University in St. Louis.
Among her responsibilities, she manages the office environment, maintains the player database, prepares expense vouchers and supports the 10 coaches in the program. Smith also maintains the recruit database and prepares football mailings.
She was recognized for her dedication to the success and support of WashU student-athletes, coaches, and families, by receiving the 2012 Gloria W. White Distinguised Service Award in a Staff Day Ceremony in Edison Theatre.
Smith has 25-plus years of executive secretarial work experience at various firms in the St. Louis area, followed by a stint of stay-at-home mom and preschool teacher.
Smith and her husband Bob, have three children: Carrie, Jenny and Kevin. Kevin spent six years as a member of the UMSL baseball team, and is Coordinator of Athletics Marketing & Sponsorships for the Tritons.
