St. Louis, Mo., June 19, 2018 – The Washington University in St. Louis softball team will host the WashU Summer Clinic on Sunday, August 26, at the WashU Softball Field.
ENROLL: Limited spots remain, to sign up please contact assistant coach and recruiting coordinator - Kaitlyn Dulac, email@example.com
Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by the clinic from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The clinic is available to athletes ages 13-18. Registration will open on Monday, July 2.
The one-day clinic will cover the fundamentals of hitting, defense (including position play for all positions, including pitching & catching), and the mental game.
The cost of the clinic is $100 per athlete and includes a WashU Softball t-shirt. Clinic fees include a $25 non-refundable deposit.
"We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to young women who are interested in learning more about all aspects of softball," said third-year head coach and 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist Michelle Venturella. "We will work on specific defensive positions, hitting, base running, as well as explore the mental aspect of the game. Come join us for a great day of softball!"
Athletes should plan on arriving 30 minutes early to allow time for check-in. Bring appropriate softball equipment for the clinic. If you are a pitcher, please have someone that can catch for you. This person will not need to register for the clinic if they are there only to catch. Bring a water bottle and snacks as well. An email will go out the week before with details for the camp.
Parking is available at no cost at the Shepley Drive Parking Garage located next to the WashU Softball Field.
