Tague Named CCIW Special Teams Player of the Week

St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 22, 2018 — Washington University in St. Louis sophomore punter Tim Tague was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the conference office. 

Tague punted six times 218 yards (36.3 average) in the 27-21 loss to No. 17 Illinois Wesleyan University Saturday at home. Tague and the WashU punt team did not allow one return yard, with one fair catch, and he had a career-long 47-yard punt in the first quarter.

In his career, Tague has punted 12 times for 423 yards this season, good for a 35.3 average. He has had two punts land inside the 20 with five fair catches.

WashU begins a two-game road trip at Augustana College (3-4, 2-4 CCIW) on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.m.
